AKC Canine Good Citizen Program
Canine Kingdom and the AKC believe that all dogs can be good dogs, and all owners can be great owners—all it takes is a little bit of training, lots of love, and, of course, plenty of praise along the way.
That's why they created the Canine Good Citizen™️ (CGC) program: a two-part course designed to help you and your dog be the best you can be-together. Since 1989, over 1 million dogs and their owners have participated in CGC, mastering ten basic skills that instill confidence and good manners in and out of your home.
Not only does CGC training create long-lasting trust between you and your pup, but also ensures you'll be good neighbors and friends to everyone around you-and, if you're interested in going beyond the basics, CGC also lays the foundation for other AKC sports and activities like obedience, agility, tracking, and performance events.
CGC is a ten-skill training program that's open to all dogs-purebred and mixed breed-that focuses on teaching the basics of good manners and obedience, instilling the values of responsible ownership, and strengthening the bond between you and your dog at home and out in the community.

Class Schedule
Monday through Friday
Select your preferred number of weekly sessions (Monday to Friday); we recommend a minimum of 2 sessions for optimal results. Drop off your dog in the morning anytime after 7:00 am, and you can pick them up in the evening until 5:30 pm. We also offer flexible before and after-hours drop-off and pick-up options for your convenience.
During their stay, your dog will enjoy the benefits of socialization and being part of a pack while having supervised playtime in both our indoor and outdoor play areas, overseen by our experienced trainers.
Here's an example of what a typical day could look like at Canine Kingdom:
- 8:00 am to 11:00 am: Playtime! Your dog will have a blast running, wrestling, and playing with their furry friends. After this energetic play session, they'll be ready to focus on training.
- 11:00 am to 2:30 pm: Your dog will receive personalized one-on-one training sessions tailored to their age and skill level.
- 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm: Back to group playtime to ensure your pup goes home happily exhausted.
Our trainers are always available at drop-off and pick-up times to provide you with updates and address any questions you may have.
In the final week of training, we involve the dog owners and their families, teaching them how to maintain the training techniques we've instilled in their dogs and ensure consistency at home.
