Here At The Canine Kingdom...

Simply put… We Love Dogs! Every dog! What we do here at The Canine Kingdom is educate and coach parents while training and playing with dogs. Our services include Grooming, Day Care, Boarding, Training, and much more.. We offer three levels of training (basic, off leash, and emotional support dog training); each is four weeks long and includes daycare! Meet Ed Wilson

Director of Grooming Services, Master Groomer and Lead Instructor of the The Canine Kingdom School of Professional Dog Grooming


Ed came to the world of professional dog grooming after a successful 38 year career in the Information Technology Field. He obtained his training and professional pet grooming diploma from the esteemed Autumn River Academy of Professional Pet Grooming And Artistry, under the instruction of award winning pet groomer, Kathy Di Stefano. Ed brings many years of teaching experience to the field of pet grooming, having taught IT classes at the collegiate level, as well as many years as a martial arts instructor at the Jiu Jitsu Institute of Chicago. When not applying his talents to making your four legged family members look great, Ed devotes his spare time to his family, two pups of his own, and his continued study of the martial arts. Ed is passionate about supporting the next generation of dog groomers and raising the standards of the industry by guiding students throughout their course to ensure they reach their individual goals.

    The Canine Kingdom is a doggy daycare, groomer, and obedience center—and more. A day spent with us is like a day at the beach! Plus, we accommodate all of their grooming needs, no matter the size of the dog or type of coat. Our experienced groomers will give your dog a fresh cut and wash that will have them looking and smelling great. And if your pup needs a little obedience help, our trainers are the perfect solution.


    The Canine Kingdom isn’t just a dog training and grooming facility. Our dedicated team of trainers, groomers, vet techs, and daycare staff work together to make certain that every dog we work with feels loved and special. We offer daily examinations and recommendations so every dog owner can minimize the stress in their lives and maximize the enjoyment of living with their happy and healthy dog.   • How did The Canine Kingdom come about?

    The Canine Kingdom was established in 2015. One day, it hit us... With all the dog-service businesses popping up, we wondered whether they were really doing everything possible for our happy, four-legged fur balls. You and I know dogs are our children, with more legs. They deserve the same care and attention that we give our human family. After doing some digging, we found that even among those that touted all-in-one dog service options, there really was not a business that met our criteria. Some doggie daycare locations did not have training services or grooming services. Others did not have products we were looking for; so if we were out of dog food, it meant an extra stop. Some were not clean. Some had employees who did not provide the love and care we required for our furry children. We did not like what we were seeing. After lots of research - by us and our dog Ripley - we set out to create an experience that our dogs - and your dogs - would love. Welcome to The Canine Kingdom, where every day is like a day on the beach.

  • What are your business hours?

    All locations for The Canine Kingdom are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. We are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Only our boarding is open during the Holidays. Boarding pickup and drop-off is open 24/7. Contact us if you have any questions!
